AUF to offer Chinese courses
The Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (CI-AUF) will start offering again short courses in Chinese language and arts in June 2010, it was announced by AUF president Atty. Joseph Emmanuel L. Angeles.
“Mandarin is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and China’s bullish economy is expected to cause tremendous rippling effects to Philippine business and industry. Doing business with China in one tongue is certainly convenient and advantageous for Filipinos”, says Angeles.
The following courses will be provided for free for a limited time to AUF officials, faculty and students: Practical Spoken Chinese, Business Chinese, Happy Chinese for Children, and Calligraphy. Said classes are also open to the public at special rates.
“These Chinese courses are expected to provide its students the competitive advantage to engage and participate in the global playing field”, adds Angeles.
The CI-AUF was established in January 2010 and has since been at the forefront of promoting Chinese language, history, culture and the arts in Central Luzon. Interested parties may call (045) 625-2888 local 831. ***
